Shahrukh Khan goes to Madame Tussauds' at Times Square ‎

Shah Rukh Khan got unveiled at Times Square amidst the colourful dance performance by the Bollywood Axion dance troupe. The 45year old actor got his wax figure placed among the famous people in Madame Tussauds museum at Times Square in New York. This is the second time SRK got waxed in Tussauds; he also graces the Los Angles branch of the wax museum.
The dancers performed to the soundtrack on his latest film ‘My Name is Khan’, which was one of the highest grossing Bollywood films that released in U.S. One of the dancers Sonny Joseph told that people in India worships the actor. The wax statue stands in front of the Taj Mahal picture, wearing a sleek black suit.
Shah Rukh also known as the ‘King Khan’ is the second Bollywood wax figure to enter the Bollywood zone. Last year the museum introduced the wax figure of Amitabh Bachchan. The ‘Bollywood Zone’ is one of the brightly coloured interactive areas that allow the guests to experience the feel of being in a set of a Bollywood film.
The unveiling of Shah Rukh’s wax work and the DVD release of his film ‘My Name is Khan’ coincides with the Independence Day week of India. The actor’s film has received from the US media; the Los Angeles Times have described the film as “A potent, energetic heart-tugger”. Shah in 2008 also made it to the list of Newsweek’s ‘50 Most Powerful People in the World’.
